About Us

About Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church (CPHC)

1. What music style does CPHC usually incorporate?
Our desire to create an atmosphere of worship that touches every person in attendance. For that reason, we strive to incorporate a blended style of worship which includes hymns, contemporary worship, gospel and southern gospel styles. These styles are evident through the music of our worship band and audition-only choir.

2. How am I expected to dress while attending CPHC?
We do not stress any specific style of dress. However we strive to look and be our best in our attire.  While visiting with us, our desire is for you to be comfortable. We do stress modesty in all things. However, we want anyone visiting our church to come dressed comfortably.

3. What are the people like?
CPHC is a very diverse group of individuals. The majority of our congregation consists of young, married couples and young people. However, our older population is growing as well. Our desire is for everyone, regardless of race, to be drawn to the wonderful family atmosphere that makes up Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church.

4. What is the preaching like?
We believe in Biblical teaching and preaching with a good mix of theology, doctrinal content, real life illustrations and humor. We also use drama from time to time to reach our generation with the message of Christ.

5. How can I get involved in ministry at CPHC?
There are many ministry opportunities at CPHC. We believe that is important for every person to find their place in the Kingdom of God. See Pastor Robinson or Pastor Tew if you would like to learn more regarding the ministries of CPHC and how YOU can get involved!

In our church, you may witness the follow expressions of worship:
In praise and worship, as believers, we are simply responding to the love God has shown us and the grace He has given us in Christ. We do not praise and worship the Lord to gain His approval, but because we have gained His approval through Christ. Some of the ways we express our praise are:

CLAPPING OUR HANDS
The Lord instructs us to clap our hands. "O clap your hands, all you people... "(Psalm 47: 1). See also Psalm 98:8, Isaiah 5 5:12, 2 Kings II: 12.

UPLIFTED HANDS
We can bless the Lord by lifting our hands. "Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord" (Psalm 134:2). See also Psalm 63:4; 1 Timothy 2:3.

MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE / SHOUTS OF PRAISE
The Bible teaches us to shout and make a joyful noise unto the Lord. "Shout unto God with the voice of triumph" (Psalm 47:1). See also Psalm 35:27 and Psalm 66: 1, 2.
